Summary: (English) Law 6207 of January 28, 2000 amends the Attorney-at-Law Act. Expands the reasons to reject to register at the bar association by providing that any person who was under a criminal prosecution or disciplinary action, except for removal or dismissal, during his/her tenure of office or has retired from office because of ex officio illegal act shall not be admitted to the bar where deemed that he/she is not considerably suitable for the duties of attorneys-at-law; prohibits attorneys-at-law and law office clerks from advertizing their possible influence on a lawsuit or legal service by alleging the private relationship with court or investigation officials to take a lawsuit or to perform legal services; and prohibits court and investigation officials from introducing a party or other related person(s) of a case to an attorney-at-law or his/her clerk with regard to the referral of legal case or affairs pending in or dealt by the institution to which they belong.(117articles; 33-52pp.)
