Injured Hunter Sues Lawyer For Legal Malpractice

A man involved in a hunting accident more than four years ago is pursuing legal malpractice claim against his former attorney. In 2003, John Lange received a bullet wound in his right foot while hunting. Lange was sent to Washington County Hospital in Nashville and then transferred to St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon where he was treated and discharged by Dr. Joon Ahn. Though Dr. Joon Ahn was informed that Lange was suffering from a high fever and severe pain in his foot, Dr. Ahn's office refused to take action according to the complaint. Soon afterwards, Lange developed gangrene in his right foot and had one of his toes amputated. Lange claims Dr. Ahn failed to recognize the danger of the infection in his right foot and did not take the reasonable steps to prevent him from getting gangrene. Lange wanted to sue Dr. Ahn but claims that his former attorney failed to filed his medical malpractice claim within the necessary statute of limitation.
